TWENTY ONE INDICTED ON COCAINE AND CRACK CHARGES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

R. Alexander Acosta, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Mark R. Trouville, Special Agent in Charge, Drug Enforcement Administration, Miami Field Division,G. Matthew Immler, Chief, Boynton Beach Police Department, Tony Strienese, Chief, Delray Beach Police Department, and William E. Smith, Chief, Lake Worth Police Department, announced the unsealing of indictments against twenty-one defendants in Operation Poole Party, targeting powder cocaine and crack cocaine distributors in the Boynton Beach area.

Between August 21 and September 4, 2008, a West Palm Beach grand jury returned four separate indictments charging defendants Virgil Leon Darville, Ronald Godfrey, Jr., Terry B. Johnson, Crystal D. Brinson, Jerriston L. Mason, Albert C. Wright, Joshua L. Adams, Antonio Robinson, Christopher Miller, Sebastian L. Bailey, Ronald L. Council, Jacob White, Jerry L. Grant, Nathaniel J. Hardiman, Aaron C. Johnson, Tameka L. Jackson, Leo Vincent Poole, Takita Lee, and Eddie Adams, with various narcotics offenses. If convicted, each defendant faces a statutory maximum sentence ranging from 20 years’ to life imprisonment.

CASE SUMMARIES:

United States v. Darrell Neloms, et al., Case No. 08-80094-CR-MIDDLEBROOKS. Darrell Neloms, Virgil Leon Darville, 46, of Boynton Beach, Nathaniel J. Hardiman, 46, of Boynton Beach, Joshua L. Adams, 29, of Boynton Beach, Crystal D. Brinson, 33, of Boynton Beach, Antonio Robinson, 27, of Riviera Beach, Aaron C. Johnson, 40, of Boynton Beach, Eddie Adams, 21, of Tallahassee, Takita Lee, 32, of West Palm Beach, Ronald Godfrey, Jr., 28, of Boynton Beach, and Sebastian L. Bailey, 29, of Boynton Beach, were charged in this fourteen count indictment. Specifically, Neloms, Darville, Hardiman, Adams, Brinson , Robinson, Bradley, Johnson, Adams, and Lee with conspiracy to distribute more than five hundred grams of cocaine and 50 grams of crack cocaine during the period from January 2008 to May 2008. Defendant Godfrey was charged with Neloms in a separate count with possession with intent to distribute at least five hundred grams of cocaine. The remaining defendants are charged with distribution and possession with intent to distribute powder cocaine and crack cocaine.

United States v. Vincent Poole, Case No. 08-80095-CR-HURLEY. Leo Vincent Poole, 36, of Lantana, was charged with six counts of distribution of crack cocaine between December 2007 and May 2008.

United States v. Terry Johnson, et al., Case No. 08-80103-CR-HURLEY. Terry B. Johnson, 42, of Boynton Beach, was charged with three counts of distribution of crack cocaine in November and December 2007.

United States v. Ronald Godfrey, et al., Case No. 08-80102-CR-MARRA. Ronald Godfrey, Jr., 28, of Boynton Beach, Ronald L. Council, Sr., 47, of Boynton Beach, Antonio Robinson, 27, of Riviera Beach, Sebastian L. Bailey, 29, of Boynton Beach, Christopher Miller, 27, of West Palm Beach, Jerriston L. Mason, 28, of Okeechobee, Tameka L. Jackson, 26, of Delray Beach, Jerry L. Grant, Jr., 27, of Sunrise, and Albert C. Wright, 36, of Boynton Beach, were charged in a nine count indictment. Defendants Godfrey, Council, Robinson, Bailey and Miller were charged with conspiracy to distribute powder and crack cocaine. In the remaining counts, defendants including Godfrey, Mason Miller, Bailey, Jackson, Grant, and Wright are charged in various counts with possession with intent to distribute or distribution of crack and or powder cocaine. These events occurred over the period of April, 2008 to September, 2008.

This investigation resulted in the seizure of more than 400 grams of crack cocaine, more than 1kilogram of powder cocaine, and three firearms were seized.

Mr. Acosta commended the cooperation and investigative efforts of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Boynton Beach Police Department, Delray Beach Police Department, Lake Worth Police Department, and the U.S. Marshals Service. These cases are being handled by United States Attorney’s Office, West Palm Beach.
