THREE PEOPLE INDICTED ON FEDERAL DRUG CHARGES INVOLVING THE MANUFACTURE OF METHAMPHETAMINE IN LINCOLN COUNTY

St. Louis, MO: Ralph Knox, Gina Morrison and Clay Wallace were indicted on charges of possession of pseudoephedrine, with the intention of manufacturing methamphetamine, United States Attorney Catherine L. Hanaway and Lincoln County Sheriff Dan Torres announced today.

“The indictment alleges that these three defendants were in possession of pseudoephedrine to make methamphetamine last September in Lincoln County,” said Hanaway.  “This office will continue to assist Sheriff Torres with prosecuting those who manufacture this dangerous drug.”

“This is another successful investigation completed by the cooperative efforts of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the St. Charles County Regional Drug Task Force and the Lincoln County Narcotic Enforcement team,” said Sheriff Torres.  “The Narcotic Enforcement Team is comprised of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, Moscow Mills Police department and the Hawk Point Police Department.”

Knox, 39, of Lincoln County; Morrison, 43, of Warren County, and Wallace 43, Bowling Green,  MO; were indicted December 13, by a federal grand jury in St. Louis.  All three have appeared in federal court and are detained pending trial.

If convicted, each defendant faces a maximum penalty of twenty years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000.

The charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations, and each defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
