Jury convicts Rockaway Beach man of illegal firearm
SPRINGFIELD - A Rockaway Beach, Mo., man was convicted by a federal jury for illegally possessing a firearm. Billy Thompson, 54, of Rockaway Beach, was found guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

KC woman sentenced for identity theft, credit card fraud
JEFFERSON CITY - A Kansas City, Mo., woman was sentenced in federal court for using stolen identity information to make fraudulent credit purchases at area retail stores. Kimberly Ann Mavis, 30, of Kansas City, was sentenced by U.S. Chief District Judge Fernando J. Gaitan to four years in federal prison without parole.

KANSAS CITY - A Kansas City, Mo., man has been convicted by a federal jury for illegally possessing a firearm. Monard P. Mosley, 38, of Kansas City, was found guilty on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Former Versailles auto shop owner pleads guilty to illegal firearm
JEFFERSON CITY - The former owner of an auto shop in Versailles, Mo., pleaded guilty in federal court to illegally possessing a firearm. William Henry Blackburn, 48, of Versailles, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Nanette K. Laughrey to the charge contained in a federal indictment.
