Northern District of Indiana - Interim United States Attorney David Capp

United States Attorney David CappDavid Capp has been with the United States Attorney's Office for over 22 years and is currently the Interim United States Attorney. He has been Interim United States Attorney on two previous occasions: for approximately 8 months in 1992 and for 29 months in 1999-2001. Since 1991, he has been the First Assistant United States Attorney, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the office. Mr. Capp has extensive experience in investigating and prosecuting public corruption offenses and violent crime. He also served as the office's terrorism coordinator after 9/11. Mr. Capp earned a B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1972 and J.D. degree from the Valparaiso University School of Law in 1977. He was in private practice of law for 8 years before joining the U.S. Attorney's Office.
