LEDYARD MAN SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR DEALING CRACK Nora R. Dannehy, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that CRAIG WILLIAMS, 28, of Crocker Hill Road, Ledyard, was sentenced today by Chief United States District Judge Robert N. Chatigny in Hartford to 60 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release. On January 29, 2008, WILLIAMS pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine base (“crack cocaine”). According to documents filed with the Court and statements made in court, on August 17, 2007, WILLIAMS possessed with intent to distribute between five and 20 grams of crack cocaine. This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Connecticut State Police and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Raymond F. Miller. | |
