BRANDENBURG MAN INDICTED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PRONOGRAPHY
– Over 200 images of child pornography found
LOUISVILLE, KY - A federal grand jury in Louisville returned an Indictment against Christopher Neal Lowther, 31 years of age, of Brandenburg, Kentucky, in Meade, County, and charged him with knowingly attempting to receive images of child pornography over the internet and knowingly possessing images of child pornography which had been transmitted over the internet, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.
United States Attorney David L. Huber praised the efforts of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency in their effective response to these very serious offenses.
According to the affidavit of a Special Agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in support of an arrest made of Lowther on September 15, 2008, examples of the images recovered from the examination of Lowther’s computer were the following:
• Image 1: Image depicts a nude female child approximately 4-8 years of age being sodomized by an adult male penis.
• Image 2: Image depicts a nude female child, approximately 6-9 years of age. The child is being sodomized by an adult male penis. Additionally, she is posed with her legs spread, exposing her genitalia.
• Image 3: Image depicts a nude female child, approximately 6-9 years of age. The child is posed with her legs spread, exposing her genitalia. She is inserting a blue foreign object into her vagina. She is also seated on a nude adult female who is also inserting a blue foreign object into her vagina.
Facts
The affidavit further states that Lowther made a payment to a PayPal account on January 7, 2007, in return for access to a member restricted website known to contain images of child pornography. On October 18, 2007, agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement executed a search warrant on the residence of Christopher Neal Lowther in Brandenburg, Kentucky. Two computers were seized from Lowther's residence at that time and a forensic examination of one of the computers located approximately 213 images of child pornography on the computer.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney James R. Lesousky, Jr., and it was investigated by Immigration and Customs and Enforcement.
In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are 30 years imprisonment, a $500,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of life; and the minimum potential penalties are 5 years imprisonment and supervised release for a period of 5 years.
Lowther is scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on October 14, 2008, at 9:30 a.m., in Louisville, Kentucky.

only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless
proven guilty.
