Glenwood Iowa Resident Sentenced To Thirteen Years For Manufacturing Methamphetamine

Des Moines, IA - On January 11, 2008, PAUL CLINTON BOLTON, of Glenwood Iowa, was sentenced to 165 months imprisonment for Manufacturing Methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school and for Creating a Substantial Risk of Harm while Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Senior United States District Judge Ronald E. Longstaff also ordered BOLTON to serve an eight year term of supervised release following incarceration, and ordered him to pay an assessment of $100 to the Crime Victim Fund.

BOLTON entered a guilty plea to manufacturing methamphetamine within a 1000 feet of a school and to endangering human life while manufacturing methamphetamine in Glenwood, Iowa on May 23, 2006. The case originated when law enforcement officers were called to an address in Glenwood, Iowa on suspicious odors. The responding officers located a clandestine laboratory for methamphetamine manufacturing at BOLTON’s residence, which was within 100 feet of an elementary school. A co-defendant, Donald Wagaman, is awaiting sentencing.

The investigation was conducted by the Glenwood Iowa Police Department, the Mills County Sheriff’s Office, the SWINE Task Force, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Mills County Attorney’s Office.
