Appointment of Gregg Rickman as the Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice today announced the appointment of Gregg Rickman as Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism, pursuant to the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act of 2004. Dr. Rickman recently served on the House International Relations Committee as Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, and as the Committee’s Chief Investigator of the UN Oil-for-Food Program. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Professional Staff Member of the Committee’s Subcommittee on the Middle East and Central Asia where he handled numerous issues including anti-Semitism and Holocaust restitution. He also served as Director of Congressional Affairs at the Republican Jewish Coalition. Earlier in his career, Dr. Rickman served as Project Director for the Holocaust Assets Project at the Senate Banking Committee.

Dr. Rickman received his bachelor's and master’s degree from John Carroll University and his Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Miami.
