EMPLOYEE TRAINING OVERVIEW

Training for USFWS employees is a central feature of the USFWS Cultural Resources program. A well-informed workforce greatly enhances the ability to adequately execute FWS stewardship responsibilities. Employees are encouraged to look at National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) at a glance, Archaeological Resource Protection Act (ARPA) at a glance, and Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) at a glance for information on some of the cultural resource compliance issues that FWS faces every day. Additionally, if you require assistance with a cultural resources issues, please contact your Regional Historic Preservation Officer for guidance.
