Ribbon Cutting of the Dahnow Dahbori SchoolSept 13, 2004, Kabul, Afghanistan: U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, Acting Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmad Mushahed, and USAID Afghanistan Director, Patrick Fine, officially opened the Dahnow Dahbori School in West Kabul. The school is a primary learning institution, complete with a technology center, that will serve over 900 Afghan girls and boys. The U.S. Agency for International Development funded the school; it is one of 246 primary and middle schools currently being built or refurbished by USAID, with 8 new schools scheduled for completion by the end of September 2004.
