Press Statement for Operation Ice Cycle

JUL 13--Today’s Operation “Ice Cycle” marks the culmination of a 6 month joint investigation that targeted a Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) that imported crystal methamphetamine (AKA “ICE”) from exico into California. It was then shipped utilizing commercial shipping services to locations in Bucks County for distribution in the Bucks County and Philadelphia areas. The methamphetamine was concealed in coffee jars, aluminum baseball bats, stereo equipment and plasma TVs. Law enforcement efforts coordinated between the US Attorney’s Office, DEA, Philadelphia PD and Bucks County District Attorney’s Office resulted in the seizure of approximately (5) kilograms of methamphetamine valued at $350,000 and 26 vehicles valued at approximately 325,000, approximately $20,000 USC and (1) handgun.

IMPACT

Due to the arrests of these four suspects, this drug trafficking organization will no longer cause fear in the community or reap profits from the sale of drugs. These suspects were responsible for large amounts of crystal methamphetamine being sold in the local area. This drug trafficking organization and it’s ability to supply methamphetamine has been dismantled and the community freed from this extremely dangerous and addictive drug.
