Iraqi Treasures Found Many of the world-renowned treasures of the Iraqi National Museum, including the treasures of Nimrud, have been found in good condition in a secret vault-within-a-vault, in Baghdad’s Central Bank. A team of U.S. investigators from the U.S. Customs Service, Iraqi museum officials and other experts believe fewer than 50 exhibit pieces are still missing. Iraqi curators hope to exhibit some of the recovered treasures in July. Pictured above are artifacts from the museum, May 6, 2003. AP Photo/Murad Sezer
