Associates of American Foreign Service Worldwide
The Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide is a non-profit organization which has been representing Foreign Service spouses, employees and retirees since 1960. AAFSW is an independent advocate for its membership, giving members a stronger voice when working on common concerns, and a chance to enjoy shared interests. Activities include: the AAFSW Book Room and Book Fair, The CLO Association for former Community Liaison Office coordinators, the AAFSW Playgroup, the annual Secretary of State's Award for Outstanding Volunteerism, the Foreign Born Spouses Group, the AAFSW Housing Office, Senior Living support and referrals to elderly Foreign Service family members, Foreign language conversation groups, the Oral History Project, the Evacuee Support Network, Livelines internet discussion group, and the Women in Transition for divorcing spouses. Foreign Service Youth Foundation
This is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to providing information, advocacy, and outreach activities for the internationally mobile youth of all U.S. Foreign Affairs agencies. Global Nomads Virtual Village
Their web site states, "The Global Nomad Virtual Village (GNVV) is an internet-based, non-profit, organization; a virtual hub or virtual village, that provides global nomads, third culture kids, Foreign Service family members, military brats, (basically anyone who shares the common bond of growing up in a foreign land), a permanent "place" to keep in touch. The GNVV is also a repository for global nomad related information and resources."

Tales from a Small Planet
Tales from a Small Planet is a literary magazine founded by a group of Foreign Service family members showcasign travel essays, humor, fistion, practical advice and fiction.  Real Post Reports, one of the most popular features of the site, are first-hand, uncensored accounts of life in nearly every country on the planet written by the diplomats and other expatriates who live there.  The web site also includes several pages of links, an active message board, and an email discussion.

TCK Interact
David Pollack, director, provides the following mission statement for Interact. "Working cooperatively as a catalyst and resource in the development of programs, services, and publications to provide and contribute to an ongoing flow of care that meets the needs of third-culture kids (TCKs) and internationally mobile families."

TCK World
A web site dedicated to the support and understanding of Third Culture Kids (TCKs): Military Kids, Missionary Kids, Foreign Service and Corporate Kids, International Exchange Students, and others who have lived as children in foreign cultures.

Transitions Abroad
This travel magazine has links for working, traveling, studying and living abroad. According to their web site, "Transitions Abroad was created as the antidote to tourism, a magazine with the specific goal of providing information that would enable travelers to actually meet the people of other countries, to learn about their culture, to speak their language, and to "transition" to a new level of understanding and appreciation for our fascinating world."
