April 5 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday The Transition Center at FSI offers this course which introduces foreign-born newcomers to Washington and the American culture, with a focus on Washington as a foreign assignment. Participants discuss their feelings about cultural adjustment in the U.S., identify specific needs during the assignment, explore various aspects of American culture, and obtain resources available in the Washington area. The audience is foreign-born spouses coming to Washington for the first time or those wishing to connect with others who have similar interests. Registration information |
