UPDATE ON FDNY HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF EFFORTS

 

More than 300 FDNY members are still deployed in New Orleans providing disaster assistance relief to the New Orleans Fire Department. Since August 30, more than 660 members of the Fire Department have been activated throughout the Gulf Coast region. Those members included firefighters, fire officers, EMTs, paramedics, counselors, OMA doctors, and communications personnel.

In New Orleans, the FDNY Incident Management Team in conjunction with the Unified Fire Command have established an informational website that periodically updates the activities of our members down south.
