Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Question: With the January 2008 change in the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), do I have to change my FMLA poster?

Answer:

The FMLA was changed by the Congress in January 2008, and the U.S. Department of Labor is currently working on updating the regulations to address the new provisions of the law. The federal Department of Labor poster will be revised as part of the regulatory updates and will be available in the near future once the new regulations are issued. Until such regulations are finalized, employers may use the Poster Insert which describes these important new leave entitlements. See www.dol.gov/esa/whd/FMLANPRM.htm for more information.

NOTE: If you sign up for the email alerts on the Poster page, you will be notified when new DOL posters are issued. (See Subscribe to E-mail Updates.)
