On September 23-24, 2002, FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) will hold a science symposium to discuss the past, present, and future regulation of vaccines, blood, cells, tissues, gene therapy and related products. Guest speakers include Anthony Fauci, MD, Director, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; Paul Parkman, MD, past director of CBER and co-inventor of the rubella virus vaccine; and W. French Anderson, MD, a pioneer in gene therapy. The symposium will be held in Masur Auditorium, Building 10 on the NIH Campus, Bethesda, Maryland.
