Government Executive Magazine

OSHA’s VPP Staff saw some familiar names in the August 15, 2008 issue of Government Executive Magazine which listed the top Federal Contractors for fiscal Year 2007. Based on the information listed in the articles, OSHA compared the names on their VPP Participant list and found the following:
  •  Top 100 Government Civilian Contractors
    • 28% of all Government Civilian Contractors have one or more sites participating in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs.
  • Top 25 Contractors – Homeland Security
    • 48% of the top 25 Homeland Security Contractors have one or more sites participating in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs
  • Top 100 Department of Defense Contractors
    • 33% of the top 100 Federal Defense Contractors have one or more sites participating in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs.
  • Top 25 Contractors – Air Force
    • 56% of the top 25 Air Force Contractors have one or more sites in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs.
  • Top 25 Contractors – Army
    • 52% of the top 25 Army Contractors have one or more sites participating in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs.
  • Top 25 Contractors – Navy
    • 44% of the top 25 Navy Contractors have one or more sites participating in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs.
