TO: ALL GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING AGENCIES OF THE FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
SUBJECT: Amendment of Service Contract Act of 1965
Interim Regulations, 29 CFR, Part 4 .and Part 6
Reference is made to Memorandum #108, dated October 12, 1972. The
Department of Labor has prepared interim regulations dealing with
the amended Service Contract Act and these were published in the
Federal Register for November 30, 1972. A copy of this Federal
Register publication is attached for your information. Please note
that any comments concerning these interim regulations should be
sent to the Department of Labor by December 31, 1972.
A meeting of representatives of the principal contracting agencies
will be held in Conference Room B, rear of the Interdepartmental
Auditorium (next to the Main Labor Building), Washington, D. C. at
10:00 a.m. On December 14, 1972. While the meeting is planned for
Washington headquarters representatives of the major contracting
agencies, each of the agencies may wish to have a few additional
personnel attend including selected field personnel. Because of
conference space limitations, it is requested that each agency limit
their attendance to six or seven persons.
The primary purpose of this meeting will be to review mutual problems
arising under the amended Service Contract Act.
