The OSHA
Challenge Pilot Program Administrator's
Quarterly Meeting was held in
Washington, D.C. on June 22,
2005.Highlights of the meeting included
Administrator and OSHA updates,
Participant presentations, and the
awarding of Challenge Completion Letters
to two Challenge Participants, who are
the first graduates of the pilot
program.
OSHA Challenge was launched in May 2004,
and provides participants who are
interested in pursuing VPP a roadmap to
improve safety and health performance.
Challenge consists of two
tracks—construction and general
industry—and three stages. At each
stage, certain actions, outcomes and
documentation are required that meet VPP
criteria. Once a site has progressed
through the stages, Participants should
be ready to apply for VPP.
