Signing Ceremony Scheduled for Sat., July 24 in Destin, Fla. JACKSON, Miss. -- The U.S. Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Mississippi Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) will mark its newly formed alliance to reduce "struck-by" accidents in a signing ceremony on July 24, 2004, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach in Destin, Fla. OSHA health and safety alliances are part of Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao's ongoing efforts to improve the health and safety of workers through cooperative partnerships. Dan Hensarling, Mississippi chapter president; Perry Nations, executive director; and Rachael Rutland, safety director will sign the alliance on behalf of the AGC. Clyde Payne, OSHA area director of Jackson will sign for the agency. Since 2001, OSHA has created more than 160 alliances with organizations committed to fostering safety and health in the workplace.
