Secretary Rice to Speak to Indian-American Groups

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will speak at the inaugural meeting of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and the Asian-American Hotel Owners Association on the U.S.-India Civil Nuclear Cooperation Initiative on Monday, July 10, 2006 at 2:30 p.m.

Her remarks will be open for press coverage and will take place in the Presidential Ballroom at the Capital Hilton, 1001 16th Street NW, Washington, DC 20036.

All cameras must pre-set between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (no cameras permitted after 12:00 p.m.)
Press may begin check in at 1:30 p.m.
Final access for all press is 2:00 p.m.

Media representatives who wish to attend must email Mr. Anurag Varma at aapi.legislative@gmail.com no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, with their name and affiliation.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a media-issued photo identification card, (2) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center) or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
