Ambassador Randall L. Tobias, Director of U.S. Foreign Assistance and USAID Administrator, to Brief the Press on Status of U.S. Assistance to Lebanon Director of U.S. Foreign Assistance and USAID Administrator Ambassador Randall L. Tobias will brief on the status of US-funded reconstruction efforts in Lebanon on Thursday, November 16, at 10:15 a.m. in the State Department Press Briefing Room. This briefing is ON-THE-RECORD and ON-CAMERA.
Following three weeks of foreign travel that included a stop in Lebanon, Ambassador Tobias will brief on U.S. assistance to Lebanon?including the status of specific projects, his discussions with Lebanese officials, and the current outlook on the United States? continued commitment to the people of Lebanon.
Media representatives who plan to attend this briefing but do not have a State Department building pass must enter through the 23rd Street entrance of the State Department building by 10:00 a.m.
Attendees must present one of the following press credentials: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver?s license or passport).
