Visit of Secretary of State Colin L. Powell to Chile and Argentina

Secretary of State Colin L. Powell will visit Santiago, Chile, from Sunday, June 8, to Tuesday, June 10, and Buenos Aires, Argentina on June 10. In Santiago, he will attend the thirty-third annual General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) as well as meet with the President of Chile, Ricardo Lagos. He will then travel to Buenos Aires for a meeting with the President of Argentina, Nestor Kirchner. The Secretary will discuss key bilateral and regional issues with the leaders of these two important hemispheric partner nations, and the promotion of democratic governance with his OAS colleagues.

The Press Office is notifying those news organizations being offered a seat under the permanent rotation system.
