Web Manager University – Webinars

What is a webinar?

A webinar is sometimes referred to as web conferencing. It’s typically a live, short seminar presented via the Web. Participants view a presentation online and call-in via the phone to interact with the speaker and other participants. Some webinars provide a live streaming video component where you can see the presenter online; the webinars for Web Manager University don’t include this component at this time.

Webinars allow people at multiple locations to participate and are convenient since they can be viewed at your own workstation. If done well, they can be just as interactive as in-person training sessions.

Do I need special software to participate in the webinars?

No. We’ll use webinar software that won’t require you to download any special software. You’ll only need to have an Internet browser so you can access the website that hosts the webinar. You’ll also need a phone line so you can dial-in to listen to the discussion.
