ATTORNEY GENERAL RENO TO VISIT SAN FRANCISCO
SAFE SCHOOLS/HEALTHY STUDENTS SITE
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Attorney General Janet Reno will travel to San Francisco on Wednesday, April 5, 2000 to visit a Safe Schools/Healthy Students site at George Washington High School in San Francisco, at 11:30 a.m. The Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative is a new and unique grant program jointly administered by the U.S. Departments of Justice, Education and Health and Human Services.
The Initiative promotes comprehensive, community-wide strategies for school safety and healthy child development across the country. George Washington High is in the first class of 54 Safe Schools/Healthy Students sites across the country, announced by the President at the beginning of this school year.
