WASHINGTON, D.C. - Attorney General John Ashcroft will address attendees of the first Department of Justice Voting Integrity Symposium on Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. ET. The Voting Integrity Symposium will focus on the Justice Department's efforts to ensure that the right to vote is not subverted through civil rights violations, election fraud or coercion. Attendees for the day-long symposium will include a representative from every U.S. Attorneys' Office as well as state election officials.
