Inaugural Session of the U.S-Russia Economic Dialogue

Under Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs, Reuben Jeffery III and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrey Denisov will meet for the inaugural session of the U.S.-Russia Economic Dialogue hosted by the United States at the State Department on Monday, April 28. The dialogue will aim to identify impediments to trade and investment in both countries, improve transparency in the business and investment environment and further strengthen our bilateral economic relations. The intention to establish this dialogue was announced by President Bush and President Putin at their April 6 meeting in Sochi, Russia as part of the U.S.-Russia Strategic Framework Declaration.
