Small Business Paperwork Relief Act

Requirement: All federal public websites* must comply with Small Business Paperwork Relief Act of 2002, which requires organizations to designate a single point of contact for small businesses, and to post the contact information on the organization's website.

Examples:

  • Department of Commerce has an Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization
  • HUD has an Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization
  • EPA has a small business gateway and a Small Business Ombudsman Hotline

* These requirements apply to executive departments and agencies and their public websites. Check the specific law to see if it also applies to judicial or legislative agencies or to intranets.
