President Signs H.R. 5683, S. 250, H.R. 3682, and S. 3693

On Monday, August 14, 2006, the President signed into law:

H.R. 5683, which provides for the Federal acquisition of the Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial in San Diego, California.

On Saturday, August 12, 2006, the President signed the following bills into law:

S. 250, the "Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006," reauthorizing Department of Education vocational and technical education programs.

Soledad Veterans Memorial in San Diego, Calif., Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at a signing ceremony in the Oval Office of the White House, which will provide for the immediate acquisition of the memorial by the United States.
