| ![]() Chicago, IL The Chicago Regional Office of Foreign Missions serves over 2200 members of career and honorary consulates general, cultural, education, tourism and trade offices in the north-central United States. The Chicago Regional Office has program responsibilities for the area which includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The Chicago Regional Office provides the full range of OFM services to the region's consular community. It has regional responsibility for administering the diplomatic tax exemption program, diplomatic customs clearance program, diplomatic motor vehicle program, diplomatic property and travel programs. OFM Chicago is the first point of contact on accreditation and status paperwork for all foreign mission members in the region. The Chicago Regional Office of Foreign Missions also actively coordinates with state and local authorities, performs a variety of outreach activities in an effort to better educate constituent communities regarding OFM activities and provides OFM-related information to interested businesses.
