BUTTERFLIES OF EASTERN NECK NWR

The following butterfly species have been documented at Eastern Neck NWR in recent years. Five separate surveys were conducted during 1998 and 1999. The number beside each species indicates the number of surveys during which each species was seen. This can provide some idea of how common each species is likely to be at the refuge. See the Bayscapes page for more information on our Bayscape garden which provides vital habitat for many types of wildlife including butterflies.
