Their extensive review of the scientific literature on physical activity and health and their committee deliberations are summarized in the Physical Activity Guidelines Advisory Committee Report, 2008. The Committee’s report provided the basis for the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. The Advisory Committee consisted of William L. Haskell, PhD (chair); Miriam E.
