Faith-based and other community organizations are eligible to apply for Department of Justice grants or contracts from the Bureau of Prisons, the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, the Office of Justice Programs, the Civil Rights Division, and the Office on Violence Against Women. The Department of Justice, through the Office of Justice Programs and the Office on Violence Against Women, also awards formula and block grants to state governments. State governments may then award sub-grants to faith-based and community organizations, among other types of eligible applicants. • Bureau of Prisons

  The Bureau of Prisons awards contracts to for-profit and non-profit entities - including faith-based and other community organizations - for various types of services including the operation of halfway houses and substance abuse treatment. • Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS)

  The Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Office provides grants to tribal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to hire and train community-policing professionals, acquire and deploy cutting-edge crime-fighting technologies, and develop and test innovative policing strategies. • Office of Justice Programs

  The Office of Justice Program's (OJP) mission is to provide federal leadership in developing the nation's capacity to prevent and control crime, improve the criminal and juvenile justice systems, increase knowledge about crime and related issues, and assist crime victims. OJP is comprised of the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the National Institute of Justice, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and the Office for Victims of Crime. • Civil Rights Division

  The Department's Civil Rights Division provides grants to educate workers, employers, and/or the general public about the anti-discrimination provision Immigration and Nationality Act through the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration Related Unfair Employment Practices.
