Elizabeth H. Stevens (Beth)


Ms. Stevens began her career with the Federal Government in 1984 working at the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Office of the Secretary’s Office of Business Liaison. In 1986, she moved to the General Services Administration as a Confidential Assistant to the General Counsel.

Her tenure with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service began in 1987 when she served in the headquarters office as a Special Assistant to the Director on Alaska issues and later as Special Assistant to the Assistant Director for Fish and Wildlife Enhancement.

In 1992, Ms. Stevens was selected to fill the position of Associate Regional Director in the Service’s Mountain-Prairie Region (Region 6 – Denver).

In 1998, she joined the newly established California/Nevada Operations Office in Sacramento, California as the Deputy Manager.

In 2001, Ms. Stevens returned to the Service’s headquarters office in Washington, D.C., to serve as the Deputy Assistant Director for Endangered Species.

In 2006, Ms. Stevens was named Assistant Director for External Affairs for the Service in Washington, D.C.

She was born and raised in Alaska and is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University.
