Alien Species Prevention Enforcement Act of 1992

Alien Species Prevention Enforcement Act of 1992 -- Section 631 of the Treasury, Postal Service and General Government Appropriations for Fiscal Year 1993, P.L. 102- 393, October 6, 1992, requires the Secretary of Agriculture to operate a program to protect the State of Hawaii from the introduction of prohibited plants, plant pests and injurious animals that may be contained in the mail.

The Department of Agriculture is to work with the Department of Interior, the Postal Service, and the State of Hawaii to carry out activities under the program.

The Postal Services' "nonmailable matter" provisions (U.S.C. Title 39) are amended to include fish, wildlife and plants that are prohibited from transportation pursuant to the Lacey Act.

In order to assist the Department of Agriculture with its responsibilities, the Department of the Interior is required to:
