OSHA SCHEDULES JANUARY SMALL BUSINESS FORUM ON CONSTRUCTION AND GENERAL INDUSTRY IN CHICOPEE, MASSACHUSETTS

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) of the U.S. Department of Labor is co-sponsoring a special small business forum focusing on construction and general industry which is scheduled to take place at the Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, January 17, 2001.

Building on the success of a series of small business breakfast seminars held during calendar year 2000, the Springfield Area Office of OSHA, again in cooperation with the Safety Council of Western Massachusetts, the Region I Chapter of the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants Association, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Consultation Program, is presenting the free workplace safety forum aimed at providing information on both construction and general industry workplace safety and health topics to small employers.

This FREE forum will be held from 7:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon. Employers interested in attending should register by contacting Christopher Hopkins, Executive Director, Safety Council of Western Mass. at (413) 783-1632 or on-line at: http://www.scwm.org. ATTENDEES MUST PRE-REGISTER IN THIS MANNER IN ORDER TO BE ADMITTED TO THE WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE ON THE DAY OF THE FORUM.

Directions to Westover Air Reserve Base:
Mass ?Pike to exit 5. Take right hand ramp after toll booth. At traffic lights at end of ramp, turn left onto Route 33. Proceed thru next set of traffic lights and turn right at the rotary. This leads you into Westover Air Reserve Base. Stay straight to the guard security booth . After the security booth, proceed straight about 4 intersections and you will see the Base Hangar two blocks to your right.
