Secretary of State Colin L. Powell To Deliver the Keynote Address Saluting the Honorable Louis W. Sullivan, MD, at the 2001 Africare Bishop Walker Dinner

Secretary of State Colin L. Powell will deliver the keynote address at the 2001 Africare Bishop Walker Dinner, on Tuesday, November 6, 200l at 9:00 p.m. in honor of the Honorable Louis W. Sullivan, MD. Africare is celebrating the contributions of Dr. Sullivan to health care, medical education and workplace diversity in the United States and throughout Africa. This event will be held at the Hilton Washington Hotel, at 1919 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC in the International Terrace Ballroom.

This event is open for press coverage. Pre-set time for video cameras is 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Final access for all press is 8:30 p.m.

Media representatives may cover this event upon presentation of either (1) a US Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a photo ID issued by the employing media organization, or (3) a letter on official letterhead from their news organization verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo ID (drivers’ license or passport).
