U.S. Delegation to the World Summit on the Information Society

Question: Who will represent the United States at the World Summit on the Information Society in Tunis November 16-18, 2005?

Answer: John H. Marburger, III, Science Adviser to the President and Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and Ambassador David A. Gross, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs, are heading the U.S. delegation to the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).

Michael D. Gallagher, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information, will also attend. Assistant Secretary Gallagher is Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
