  • March 27, 2006: SCHC's 2006 Spring Meeting, Orlando, Florida. Ann Brockhaus, President, SCHC, gave a presentation on the OSHA and SCHC Alliance.
  • January 10, 2006: National Capital Chapter ASSE and the Chesapeake Area Biological Safety Association, Laurel, Maryland. Ann Brockhaus, Vice President, SCHC, presented "The GHS - What You Need to Know Now."
  • December 13, 2005: Jennifer Silk, Deputy Director, Directorate of Standards and Guidance, USDOL-OSHA, Michelle Sullivan, Chair, Board of Directors, SCHC, and Jon Hellerstein, CIH, American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) member, MeadWestvaco Corporation, participated in a teleWeb virtual seminar jointly sponsored by SCHC and AIHA on "The Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for Worldwide Hazard Communication: Status and Update on U.S. Implementation."

John Henshaw, then Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health, and Michele Sullivan, Chair, SCHC, testified about OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard and the value of material safety data sheets.
