New Alliance Will Promote Safety for Alabama Maritime Workers

MOBILE, Ala. -- The U.S. Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is forging an alliance with the Gulf Coast Maritime Safety Association and the Physical Therapy Association, Alabama Chapter, to reduce safety hazards in the maritime industry.

OSHA alliances are part of Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao's ongoing efforts to improve the health and safety of workers through cooperative partnerships.

Through this cooperative agreement the parties will share information, guidance, and training resources to eliminate slip, trip and fall hazards in the maritime industry.
