State Occupational Safety and Health Programs
Emergency Preparedness/Homeland Security Initiatives and Guidance Materials

Many of the OSHA-approved state plans have implemented or assisted in the development of emergency preparedness and/or homeland security related initiatives and guidance materials. These States cover most private sector workers and are also required to extend their coverage to public sector (state and local government) workers in the state. State plans have standards which are identical to or "at least as effective as" Federal OSHA standards.
