Public Offering of New Spanish Video

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration plans to introduce a new Hispanic video - "All About OSHA" - on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000. The kickoff event, which will include a public viewing of the new video, begins at 10:00 a.m. in the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center Tower Building, second floor Conference Room Center.

A joint effort by OSHA's Atlanta-West area office in partnership with private sector employers, employee groups and state government, the video was locally produced by two Latino production companies and is targeted to the growing number of Hispanic workers in the city.

OSHA Regional Administrator Cindy Coe will introduce the video and acknowledge OSHA's partners for their support of the project and their interest in increasing knowledge of safety and health and employee and employer rights for the Spanish-speaking workforce.

Project partners include the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers, the Georgia Branch of the Associated General Contractors of American, Inc., the Southern Carpenters Regional Council - United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Newell Recycling of Atlanta, Inc. and the Georgia Department of Labor's "Project Safe Georgia."

A free copy of the video will be distributed. Media representatives are invited to attend the kickoff ceremonies. Proper identification, such as a valid driver's license, is required to enter the federal building.
