Maurice S. Parker
Ambassador, Kingdom of Swaziland
Term of Appointment: 07/20/2007 to present

Maurice S. Parker was nominated on April 30, 2007 to be the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Swaziland. Ambassador Parker was sworn in on July 20, 2007 and presented credentials in September 2007.

Maurice Parker, of California, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, class of Minister-Counselor, is the new U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Swaziland. Previously, he was Director of the Office of Employee Relations and Foreign Service Assignments in the Bureau of Human Resources. He was also Director of Consular and International Programs at the Homeland Security Council at the White House and Principal Officer in Ciudad Juarez and Barcelona. His other overseas assignments included Nigeria, Scotland, Colombia and Guyana.

Mr. Parker received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his master's degree from San Francisco State University.
