OSHA Small Business Outreach Seminars On Safety Hazards Offered In February At Local Community Colleges AURORA, Ill. -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), in conjunction with area organizations and colleges, is helping small businesses in Northern Illinois understand safety standards and identify, eliminate or control workplace hazards through a series of seminars. The North Aurora OSHA office will offer the seminars at two locations during February:
The seminars are a continuation of the Partnership for Illinois Small Businesses program offered over the past year to help small businesses comply with OSHA regulations and improve their safety and health programs. Future seminars are in the planning stages and will be announced later. The registration fee for the seminar at McHenry County College is $25. To register or to obtain more information, contact the college at (815) 455-8592. The registration fee for the seminar at Illinois Valley Community College is $139 and includes continental breakfast and lunch. To register, contact the college at (815) 224-0427. Co-sponsors with OSHA are the State of Illinois On-site Consultation Service and the Illinois Small Business Development Center Network. # # #
