Chavez Phone: (617) 565-2075 Attention: Business News/Calendar Editors OSHA Small Business Outreach Seminars On Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans & Fire Prevention Plans To Be Offered In March At Six Upstate New York Locations BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Helping small Upstate New York employers ensure the safety of their employees in an emergency is the goal of seminars being offered by the Buffalo office of the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in conjunction with area organizations and colleges. The same seminar, on the topics of exit routes, emergency action plans and fire prevention plans, is being offered at six different locations during March as follows:   March 6, 2003 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Erie Community College South Campus, Orchard Park, NY NCCC Corporate Training Center, Lockport, NY   March 13, 2003 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Jamestown Community College, Jamestown, NY Jamestown Community College, Olean, NY   March 20, 2003 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Genesee Community College, Batavia, NY SUNY Brockport MetroCenter, Rochester, NY "Pre-planning for emergencies can mean the difference between life and death," said Art Dube, OSHA's Buffalo area director. "This seminar will explain how to prepare for workplace emergencies and what emergency plans a small business owner needs to have." The session is part of the OSHA Small Business Seminar Series covering a variety topics that the federal agency will offer this year to assist small Upstate New York employers in complying with workplace safety and health standards.
