What's New:
Be Active Your Way VA!
VA proudly supports the US Department of Health and Human Services' 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. The basic message of the guidelines (for adults) is:

  • For all individuals, some activity is better than none, but more is better.
  • For substantial health benefits, do at least 150 minutes each wee of moderate-intensity aerobic activity, or 75 minutes each week of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity.
  • All adults should include muscle strengthening activities that work all the major muscle groups on two or more days per week.
