BOSTON, Mass. -- A seminar to help Massachusetts subcontractors pre-qualify to bid on jobs has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 29 at Quinsigamond College in Worcester. The seminar is sponsored by the U.S. Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts (ASM) and the Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety, Consultation Program as part of their ongoing safety alliance. Topics will include OSHA record-keeping; calculating injury and illness rates; safety training requirements; trade and job hazard analysis; insurance coverage; workers compensation; private and public sector contract requirements and multi-employer jobsite rules. The seminar will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with registration at 7:30 a.m. The fee is $50 per person, to offset conference costs. To register call ASM at (617) 742-3412 or e-mail mail@associatedsubs.com. Registration forms and additional information are available online at www.associatedsubs.com.
