ED.gov RSS News Feed

Subscribe to ED.gov RSS to receive notification of ED press releases, funding opportunities, No Child Left Behind, and federal learning resources.

To subscribe, you must do two things:

  • First, get a "news reader" (also known as a "news aggregator"). A number of free or shareware RSS news readers are available on the web for downloading. The DMOZ Open Directory Project disclaimer has numerous links to RSS readers and tutorials. (If you're interested in additional RSS news feeds from other organizations, see the news feed directories at Syndic8.com disclaimer.)

  • Second, add the ED.gov RSS feed to your news reader, if it isn't already included. You can do this by adding a new entry that points to http://www.ed.gov/rss/edgov.xml RSS or by importing it from one of the news feed directories.

Note: "RSS" stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. It is an XML-based format for distributing headlines with links to ED.gov for the full article. ED.gov currently uses the RSS 2.0 format. See the RSS 2.0 specification. disclaimer.
