WASHINGTON -- The National Advisory Committee on Ergonomics (NACE) will hold its third public meeting in Arlington, Va., Sept. 24, 2003. NACE is chartered to advise the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health on issues related to OSHA's approach to reducing ergonomic-related injuries in the workplace-guidelines, research and, outreach and assistance. The committee will meet from 8:30-4:00 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 24 at the Quality Hotel & Suites Courthouse Plaza, Arlington, Va. 22201. The third meeting of NACE will continue the committee's discussion on OSHA's ergonomics strategy; OSHA Administrator John Henshaw will address the full committee; the working groups on Research, Guidelines, and Outreach and Assistance will report to the full committee and lead discussions on their respective topics; and a presentation will be made on the National Academy of Sciences Ergonomics study. The committee's working groups will meet on September 23.
